Nipper!

The dog Nipper and gramophone are 1) the classic logo, icon, and registered trademark(s) of RCA, 2) from the painting His Master's Voice, and 3) photographed copyright 1997 Hip Wax.

To make a long story short, Nipper and his record player were the beloved adornments of the RCA building in historic Baltimore, MD USA (known affectionately as Charm City). Through one of those hapless tales of urban tragedy, the statues wound up on a farm in Virginia. The fellow sold it back to the city (perhaps through an intervening benefactor) for something like a $24,999.00 profit. But no price is too high for our dog!
